Good news today - Abby did get accepted to EAB aka Janine Manuel. It is a bilingual french school designed for english - speaking people. The school year will be really challenging but Abby is so excited and is up for the challenge. We have an apartment in the latin quarter close to the Mouffetard on Rue de Arago. It is about 3-4 miles from EAB. We have a signed lease for our house so all the big pieces are in place. Now we just have to finish cleaning out the basement so we can store our things in it.
Now I am excited. I have been guarded so far.
Well that is all for now. I will write more at a later date.

Although we have several months before we leave for Paris, I thought I would share the preliminary things. First, we have renters moving in June 26. They are Lisa and Brian Derhake with their 2 kids ages 1 and 3. Brian will be a fellow at the Cleveland Clinic. So we are busy going through our things to see what we can throw out or donate. We will have to basically move out of our house and use one of those PODS to store our things. Weird feeling.
We are waiting to hear from Ecole Active Bilingual Janine Manuel school as to whether Abby has been admitted. Nervous about this until we hear. Meanwhile, we are apt shopping in Paris. It's all so overwhelming!!!!!
Life goes on as is here. doctor appointments, softball tryouts, joe is still teaching. the usual stuff.
I will keep you all informed as we move forward. If you have any insight, please share.
